Former Mayor Willie Brown will join local electeds, activists at City's largest Democratic Convention Watch Party at Laborers Local 261 from 6 to 8:30
SAN FRANCISCO (Sept. 6, 2012) -- The San Francisco Democratic Party will tonight host the City's largest local gathering of Democratic leaders and activists to watch President Obama's acceptance speech. The low-dollar fundraising event at the Laborers Local 261 is co-hosted by some two-dozen local Democratic organizations, and will feature former Mayor Willie Brown as a guest speaker. The event promises to offer real-time reactions to the President's speech, and myriad local perspectives the importance of the 2012 General Election. English-, Chinese- and Spanish-language speakers will be available for interviews.
Journalists covering the event are invited free of charge. Advanced reports are asked to note that general admission to the fundraising event is $25, with a reduced price of $20 for active members of local Democratic clubs. Sponsorship levels range from $100 to $5,000, and donations may be made online at https://secure.actblue.com/page/sfdemocrats.org.

About the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee
San Francisco's Democratic County Central Committee, or DCCC, is the governing body of the local Democratic Party as defined in California's Government Code and Elections Code.
